About
My name is Uri’ EL aka Yung Uri
My work as Yung Uri exists at the intersection of music, visual art, and culture. As an independent artist from Chicago, I approach music not only as a performer but also as a creator of experiences—developing sound, visuals, and storytelling that reflect my environment and personal growth.
My background in Music Business from Columbia College Chicago shaped how I view artistry as both a creative and strategic process. I write and record my music, direct visuals, and document artists and community through photography. Each piece of work is part of a larger narrative exploring identity, community, and the creative energy within Chicago’s cultural landscape.
Whether performing live, curating exhibitions, or producing visual content, my goal is to contribute to hip-hop as a living art form—one that continues to evolve through collaboration, experimentation, and independent voices.
